Valmuni Appa
Greetings to all Hindus, readers or even temple lovers! I shack you warmly by hand ( Willy Wonka style). With my newest attempt i meet you in this mew blog of mine. Recently, my family and i traveled all around the world and ended in this small village of what I call peace. Well, you must be wondering, "hahaha Diya you are in India". NO! Its one of the most magical sittings i have ever seen and been. The temple is located in a small village far away from the buzzing city in Malaysia. ( address of temple stated below). The temple is surrounded by greenery- trees, flowers and more tress. Tress that even bare fruits! I had such a time there.
71200 Rantau, Negeri Sembilan
'Valmuni appa'
The main deity of the temple, as you can guess it from the name is Sri Siva Sanggara, Valmuni appa also known as 'Maruthuvar' and Vannamuni. Yes! There are three of them! Quite rare in this case as most temples in India only comprises of one main deity. The temple was established nearly 30 years old. Up to date, the temple has extended its grounds and built a Baby Shivan and Baby Ganesha. Moreover the temple celebrates Valmuni Appa with an annual festival every 1st of January( basically the new year). There is an extraodianary event, mostly every Friday- The Arul Vaaku. Its preety simple, Valmuni Appa will come in trans and give one of the best advices to our problems.
Right opposite to Valmuni appa, lives the magnificant, old yet strong Siva Sangkari Amma. She was found by the temple's owner in an abandoned state in a designnated forest. She is estimated to be 100 years old! Well, noe we talk history. Right behind her is the home of the fierce Kali Amma.
Earlier as i mentioned the two apple of the eyes, the two cute babies of the temple come next in our list of dieties - Baby Shiva & Baby Ganesha
Next in line is the most beautiful Durga Amma. She stands right opposite the glass wall's of the temple's donation counter. She also blesses everyone with great wisdon and fortune.
Have you seen the valiant Narashima commonly known here as Singamuni Appa, he is the half lion and half human avatar of Lord Vishnu. The temple is also a home to 'Shivan Mandabam' (Shiva's Hall). The newest edition to the temple is the 18 steps Ayyapan temple.
The temple also conduct 'yagum' ( holy fire) every first and last Friday of the month.
